This fortified earth building has circular or rectangular formation. The 6-feet outer is made of bamboo, stone and other materials by Hakka people. It only has one big main gate to enter. This earthen building can house about 800 people, containing stores, a well in the middle, halls, and living areas. There are more than 20000 earthen buildings found in Fujian.
Danxia landform (China Danxia)
Danxia has an interesting geomorphic structure. It is an extraordinary type of Chinese petrographic geomorphology. It looks like being formed by limestones, but the textures are red conglomerates and sandstones. It is a famous place for both geology studies and tourism. Danxia is not only in Fujian but also in other provinces such as Hunan, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, and Guizhou; there are 6 Danxia landform areas in total.
Mount Wuyi (Wuyishan)
There is no sign of artificial construction here; the pure nature is well-preserved in Mount Wuyi. It has 36 peaks, 72 caves and 99 cliffs in total. Each peak has its distinctive formation, which attracts the curiosity of tourists. The stream here is extremely blue like sapphire. Mount Wuyi is famous for high vegetation diversity; it has the largest subtropical forests and rainforests. The Mount Wuyi’s fauna is also extremely abundant with over 5000 species, some are even unusual and rare. Moreover, the tea cultivation here has been existing since the ancient time with the four most famous original tea including White Cockscomb, Golden Turtle, Iron Arhat, and Big Red Robe.
Kulangsu (Historic International Settlement)
Kulangsu is an elegant island off the coast in Fujian. It has attracted over 10 million tourists every year. One special thing about this island is cars and bicycles are abandoned, only electric vehicles are permitted. Architecture is the specialty that helps Kulangsu being the World Heritage Site. There is also a piano museum, and this museum is so popular that Kulangsu has a nickname of “The Town of Pianos”, or “Piano Island”.
